It’s that time again where I say “Well, after a year..” and tell you I’ve picked up painting again, because Iris really inspired me and it’s been too long since I picked up a brush.
And this is what it got me so far, 2 and a half hours last night on getting started with some rough base coloring on a sketch I did back in December. It’s acrylics on paper (30×40 centimeters) and still needs a lot of work as you can see.
The picture is crap and it’s not doing the colors any justice because the blue is actually more green.
I don’t like painting on paper much, I prefer canvas but I don’t have any at the moment and I just really badly wanted to paint again. It’s a little getting used to again, but so far it’s enjoyable!
It’s fricking AWESOME!! I love the colours. What is that in the middle, is it night behind a window or is it like a portal into another world?

It’s something outside the window, but I haven’t quite figured out yet what I want it to turn into, I’ll see where it takes me!
